The 1970s Macallans bottled for the 18-year-old and 25-year-old Anniversary Selections are all of superb quality and this 1979 vintage 18-year-old is one of the best, packed with intense, luxurious raisin and date sherry flavours. It's difficult in the face of such depth and richness to fathom that these Macallans retailed at around £35-40 at the time.
