A single cask Dallas Dhu 1978 15-year-old single malt whisky released in 1993 or 1994 by mail order independent whisky bottlers Direct Wines for their First Cask series. This bottling was labelled as a Highland whisky, though Dallas Dhu was subsequently formally defined as Speyside.

This 15-year-old Dallas Dhu 1978 came from single cask 2610, bottled without colouring or chill filtration at 46%. Dallas Dhu closed a few years after this whisky was distilled, and this is one of the younger examples that can be found nowadays - a fascinating old school Highland-style dram.
