William Larue Weller 2006 | 12 Year Old Bottled 2018 62.85%
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey 75cl / 62.85% / 125.7 Proof
From the 2018 release of Buffalo Trace's prestige Antique Collection, this very special William Larue Weller Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey is from the 2006 vintage and was bottled as a 12-year-old at its epic full cask strength of 62.85%.
William Larue Weller is a wheated bourbon, meaning wheat is used as the secondary grain in the mash instead of rye. This was a technique pioneered by the eponymous Weller himself and later continued by the Van Winkle family at their famous Stitzel-Weller bourbon distillery; nowadays the Weller brand is stewarded by Buffalo Trace and the cask strength William Larue Weller version appears only once a year as part of the Antique Collection.
