Old Pulteney 30 year old is one of those drams that can seem simplistic at first nosing but over time evolves into a masterpiece. Complex, perfectly composed and poised it delivers a plethora of coastal notes with bags of wax, garden fruits, salt, preserved lemons, minerals, coal, soot, all kinds of industrial oiliness, flecks of peat and phenolic subtleties. I could go on but it's best to just take my word for it, this is a bona fide classic.
