The Michter's American whiskey brand was revived by Chatham Imports around the turn of the millennium after lying dormant for a decade or so following the closure of the original Michter's distillery in Pennsylvania.
Michter's now have two new distilleries in Kentucky, opened in 2015 and 2019. The bourbon from those distilleries is still too young for this expression though, so for now Michter's 10-year-old Single Barrel bourbon remains a sourced whiskey, using bourbon made under contract to Chatham's exacting specifications.
