Longmorn 15 Year Old Circa 2000
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 45%
A bottle of Longmorn 15-year-old Speyside single malt whisky, a much-loved dram for whisky fans throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, when it cost around £25 and was among the best value Speyside malts on the market.
Longmorn distillery's standard core range 15-year-old was introduced under Seagrams stewardship before the 2001 takeover by Pernod Ricard's Chivas Brothers, who eventually discontinued this bottling and replaced it with the pricier 16-year-old in 2007 amid much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
These old Longmorn 15-year-olds were big, full-bodied, luxuriously fruited drams bottled at 45%. A whisky that was famous for its popularity within the industry as well as outside it.
