An old bottle of Benriach 18-year-old Albariza Speyside single malt whisky, which was an edition made with Benriach's peated whisky finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. The name 'Albariza' refers to Jerez's famous soil, whose chalk content is so high that it appears white.

Bottled in 2015 as a limited edition for the distillery's Wood Finishes series, Benriach Albariza 18-year-old shows lots of dark stewed fruits from the sherry finish, which balance beautifully with the farminess of Benriach's peated distillate. Benriach Albariza 18-year-old is a great alternative to a sherry-aged Islay whisky for those feeling adventurous.
