Ledaig 1972-2014 | 42 Year Old Dusgadh
Island Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 46.7%
A remarkable Ledaig 1972 42-year-old Dusgadh Island single malt whisky. Released in 2014 at a hearty 46.7%, Ledaig Dusgadh was a limited edition of just 500 bottles of Tobermory's peated spirit from the 1972 vintage and remains the joint-oldest official bottling from Tobermory distillery.
Tobermory replaced two of their four stills in 2014, the year that this Dusgadh was released. The whisky in Ledaig Dusgadh 42-year-old was one of the first spirits to run through these stills, and comes with a handcrafted copper memento cut from the retired stills that entitles the owner to one bottle of Ledaig Deanta 10-year-old in 2024, which will contain a 10-year-old whisky made with the last spirit from the same stills. At the time of writing in 2024, Ledaig Deanta has yet to appear, but no doubt it must be very imminent.
