A 12-year-old Lagavulin from the 1980s under the renowned White Horse Distillers label. This was among the last of the standard distillery bottlings of Lagavulin 12-year-old in the period immediately before the creation of Lagavulin 16-year-old and its subsequent incorporation into the Classic Malts series in 1987.
This clear glass bottled White Horse Lagavulin 12-year-old is very much akin to the later, rarer cream and green label versions but has that bit more of a raw edge with a very long and satisfying finish. A wonderful old school Islay dram with more elemental power and punch than contemporary Lagavulin.
