First released at the end of 2023, Kilchoman 16-year-old is the joint-oldest general release official bottling so far from the distillery, whose handful of previous 16-year-olds have been single cask or very small batch editions.

This Kilchoman 16-year-old is a small batch of just 5000 bottles released at 50% without colouring or chill filtration from a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. It's great to see a wider release of longer-aged whisky from Kilchoman, long may it continue.

Nose: Delightfully rich with a creamy citrus sweetness and layers of cooked apples, pears, plums and nutmeg.

Palate: A masterful balance of festive spices, fresh vanilla, tropical fruit and smouldering peat smoke.

Finish: Dried mango and apricots with bbq smoke and lasting mouth-coating honey sweetness.
