Tasting Notes
Official Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale gold.
Nose: As always, that classic aldehydic profile from aged grain - sweet, solventy aromas mingle with floral notes, with marzipan and almonds evident throughout. Additionally, the rum cask introduces vanilla and light toffee to the fray.
Palate: Quite delicious. Madagascan vanilla, coconut ice cream and caramlised almonds. All of which are underpinned by deep dark rum notes - cocoa dusted chocolate truffles, molasses and over-ripe fruits.utty (predominantly almonds). Coconut toasties, butterscotch and vanilla shortbread.
