Glenmorangie 18 Year Old Extremely Rare Bottled 2023
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 43%
The 2023 edition of Glenmorangie 18-year-old Extremely Rare, one of the standouts in this classic distillery's core range.
Glenmorangie 18-year-old has existed in its 'Extremely Rare' iteration since 2007, and is matured in a mix of bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, while the old pre-2007 Glenmorangie 18-year-old was matured in 'mountain oak casks', which were presumably all ex-bourbon. The modern-day Glenmorangie 18-year-old is consequently a richer, sweeter, more rounded affair than the older versions, and is a delightful after-dinner dram.
