Glenglassaugh 1986-2005 | 19 Year Old | Last Year Of Distillation
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 40%
A 19-year-old Glenglassaugh distilled in 1986, the year the distillery went into mothballs. This sherried Glenglassaugh 19-year-old was bottled in 2005, at which point the distillery's owners Highland Distillers had become part of the Edrington Group and Glenglassaugh seemed in danger of never reopening.
Thankfully for fans of Glenglassaugh's characterful Highland style, the distillery was purchased a few years later by Scaent Group, who revived the distillery in 2008 before selling it to Billy Walker soon afterwards. After the latter sold his distilleries to Brown Forman, Glenglassaugh is now backed with some serious financial heft - although there won't be any more Glenglassaugh 19-year-old until at least 2027.
Please note that this bottle's capsule has a broken seal. See product image for details.
