Glenfiddich Excellence 18-year-old Speyside single malt whisky was a short-lived Glenfiddich 18-year-old expression launched in the 1990s to showcase the distillery's whisky at its peak in mid-age. Glenfiddich Excellence bridged the gap between the old Ancient Reserve 18-year-old ceramic decanters and the launch of the standard bottle Glenfiddich Ancient Reserve 18-year-old in the mid-1990s.

All these years later, Glenfiddich Excellence has been largely forgotten but remains a deliciously quaffable example of this great Speyside distillery and a testament to the quality Glenfiddich is capable of. Glenfiddich Excellence is a beautiful after-dinner dram at 43% and its elegance extends to the black and gold presentation which has aged particularly well by contrast to some other more gaudy 1990s whisky designs.
