An old single cask Glendronach 1978, bottled as a 31-year-old in 2010 without colouring or chill filtration for Batch 2 of the distillery's single cask releases. 

This 31-year-old Glendronach 1978 came from a single Oloroso sherry puncheon cask #1040 that yielded 645 bottles at its natural cask strength of 51.2%.

These early single cask releases from the first few years after Billy Walker had taken over were all fantastic drams and caused a minor sensation, quickly propelling the distillery to a whole new level of status and recognition among whisky fans.
