Glencraig 1976-2018 | 42 Year Old Signatory Vintage 30th Anniversary
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 42%
A 42-year-old Glencraig 1976, part of an extraordinary series of releases bottled in 2018 by Signatory Vintage to celebrate the company's 30th Anniversary. Glencraig was an experimental single malt whisky produced on Lomond stills at Glenburgie between 1958-1981 and casks are very rare now as most of the stock was intended only as blending malt for Ballantine's.
This 1976 Glencraig aged for 42 years in ex-bourbon cask #4283 before being bottled at its natural cask strength of 42%, yielding just 176 bottles. Signatory's 30th Anniversary bottlings are presented in a black lacquer box with two Signatory Vintage branded Glencairn glasses.
