A very special sherried 40-year-old Bunnahabhain 1978 bottled by Signatory Vintage in 2018 for their 30th Anniversary celebrations.

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1978 and aged for 40 years in refill sherry butt #2587 before being bottled in 2018 with a yield of 484 bottles at its natural cask strength of 47.8%.

Like the rest of the Singnatory 30th Anniversary bottlings, this 1978 Bunnahabhain 40-year-old is presented in a black lacquer box with a pair of Signatory Vintage branded Glencairn glasses.

Colour: Orangey copper with glints of mahogany.

Nose: Aromas of sherry, wildflowers and citrus fruit.

Palate: Salty with passionfruit and roasted tones givies way to a long malty, vanilla and rhubarb finish with a hint of smoke.
