A single cask Glenallachie 1978 39-year-old Speyside single malt whisky released in half-litre (50cl / 500ml) bottles in 2018 to celebrate the distillery's 50th anniversary. Glenallachie 1978 single cask 10296 was bottled without colouring or chill filtration at its natural cask strength.

This 39-year-old Glenallachie 1978 came from single cask 10296, a sherry butt that yielded just 120 of these 50cl bottles at a very impressive cask strength of 55.9%. Bottled to celebrate the first running of Glenallachie's stills in February 1968, this cask was one of a series of Anniversary single casks selected by new owner Billy Walker, who had taken over the distillery the previous year.
