Eagle Rare 2002 | 17 Year Old Bottled 2019 50.5%
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey
Distillery Bottling 750ml / 50.5% / 101 Proof
A bottle of the 2019 release of Eagle Rare 17-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon, one of the most popular of Buffalo Trace distillery's Antique Collection annual releases of prestige American whiskeys. This edition was awarded 'Best in Category' at the Los Angeles Spirits Competition.
This Eagle Rare 17-year-old is from the 2002 vintage and was bottled in 2019 at 101 Proof / 50.5% in tribute to the original Eagle Rare brand bourbon which was launched at 101 proof in 1974 by the Old Prentice distillery (now known as Four Roses). Buffalo Trace's owners Sazerac Company took over the Eagle Rare brand from Seagram in 1989. A glorious long-aged high strength bourbon, Eagle Rare is like a slightly toned-down, more elegant version of the mighty George T. Stagg.
