A sherry-finished Dalmore 2008 bottled in 2023 at a palate-friendly 45.8% without colouring or chill filtration (!) as part of the distillery's annual vintage releases. This is exactly the kind of whisky that fans have been crying out for from Dalmore for many years, so we're very excited to see it on our shelves.

The concept of these Dalmore vintage releases is very simple - the best ex-bourbon casks from a particular vintage in the distillery's history are hand-selected by Richard Paterson and Gregg Glass and given a special finishing period in ex-sherry casks, which in this case included casks that previously held Gonzalez-Byass's famous Matusalem sweet Oloroso sherry and a 15-year-old Pedro Ximenez sherry.

Nose: Milk chocolate, caramel, mandarin, and cracked black pepper.

Palate: Manuka honey, sweet cacao, poached apples, and golden sultanas.

Finish: Vanilla cream, chocolate brioche, Navelina orange, and light cinnamon warmth.
