Cotswolds Sauternes Cask Batch 1 small batch English single malt whisky was bottled at full strength without colouring or chill filtration in 2020. This was the first of the distillery's special edition Hearts and Crafts releases, which take their inspiration from the 19th century Arts & Crafts movement and use beautiful William Morris designs for the packaging.
This Cotswolds Sauternes Cask was a limited edition of 2050 bottles released at a natural cask strength of 55.2%. Unusually, the spirit was matured full term in the Sauternes casks rather than being reracked for a few months of finishing, and this gives the whisky a hugely powerful flavour kick of honeysuckle and exotic candied fruits.
