Coleburn 1970-2000 | 30 Year Old Signatory Vintage Single Cask 100
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Signatory Vintage 70cl / 57%
An old single cask of Coleburn 1970 bottled as a 30-year-old in 2000 without colouring or chill filtration by Signatory Vintage for their Rare Reserve series.
This Rare Reserve 30-year-old Coleburn 1970 came from Cask 100, described simply as 'an oak cask', so most likely a refill, and yielded 302 bottles at its impressively poky natural cask strength of 57%.
Coleburn is one of the least-bottled of the lost Diageo distilleries from the terrible cull of the 1980s and is getting particularly rare nowadays almost four decades since closing its doors in 1985. This is a rare treasure, a great dram from a long-lost distillery.
