This 11-year-old Clynelish 1984 was Adelphi's first ever bottling from the distillery, as far as we can see, and weighs in at a colossal natural cask strength of 61%. The 1980s were a dark time for the Highland distillers, and not much of Clynelish's output from this time escaped the blending vats; those casks that survived to be bottled as single malt whiskies are generally citrussy and spicy with strong salt and pepper notes.
