Chain Pier 2019-2022 Single Cask 190002 Crabbie Inaugural Release
Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by John Crabbie 70cl / 57%
A landmark release from Crabbie, the Inaugural Release from their Chain Pier distillery! Chain Pier was a short-lived experimental distillery set up by Crabbie (full story on our blog here) and produced 39 casks in its brief 13 month lifespan.
Chain Pier Cask #190002 was a heavily-charred virgin American oak cask that yielded 234 bottles of Chain Pier single malt at a cask strength of 57% and was bottled without any colouring or chill filtration. This first release of Chain Pier's whisky is a milestone - this was the first new malt whisky distillery in Edinburgh in almost a century, after all - and we can't wait to try it.
