An early bottling of the splendid Caol Ila 12-year-old, which was revived in 2002 alongside Clynelish 14-year-old and Glen Ord 12-year-old as part of Diageo's Hidden Malts range.

Caol Ila 12-year-old has always been one of the best entry-level Islay single malts, with a consistently excellent coastal flavour profile balancing sooty, ashy phenols, tart citrus flavours and a whiff of brine. A once-hidden treasure that now gets much more of the credit it deserves.
