A bottle of the magnificent Bunnahabhain 40-year-old unpeated Islay single malt whisky, this edition was a limited release of 1000 bottles from the famous 40-year-old 'Turney Casks' that were filled in the early 1970s by Glasgow wine merchant J.G. Turney and discovered during a ledger review in 2012.
The liquid from these casks was dipping under 42% at the time of the discovery, so the casks were immediately emptied to preserve the whisky's strength. An outrageously delicious whisky packed with beautiful exotic and citrus tropical fruit flavours, the remaining Bunnahabhain 40-year-old from the Turney casks has been bottled sporadically in small batches ever since, and this presentation first appeared around 2018.
