An old bottle of the much-loved and much-missed Bruichladdich 12-year-old - this is the second edition released by then-owners Murray McDavid, bottled in 2006 at 46% without colouring or chill filtration. 

This Bruichladdich 12-year-old Second Edition contains bourbon cask matured whisky that would have been distilled in the early to mid 1990s when Bruichladdich was at its lowest ebb, with tired equipment and the buildings practically falling down. As so often occurs though, despite the very sporadic production and with the distillery frequently mothballed, the spirit made in these years was absolutely top quality.

This is a fantastic dram, a fitting tribute to those workers who kept Bruichladdich alive during what was an extremely precarious period.
