Bruichladdich sold a lot of casks privately in the early days of the distillery's revival, and although many were later sold on to indie bottlers or back to Bruichladdich, the ones that were bottled are generally excellent.

This cask strength fresh bourbon-matured Bruichladdich 2005 is an absolute stormer, with impressive complexity for a 12-year-old and a strong coastal character on both nose and palate, balanced with fresh white fruit and strong peppery spices.
