An old 75cl edition of the much-missed Bowmore Darkest Sherry Cask Islay single malt whisky, bottled for the Malaysian market shortly after the turn of the millennium.
Bottled at 43%, the old Bowmore Darkest was a sherry casked no-age-statement (NAS) cuvee introduced in the 1990s as a sort of everyday version of Black Bowmore - even the label bears the legend 'From the Number 1 Vaults of Black Bowmore'. Sadly, this iteration of Bowmore Darkest was discontinued in 2007 when the range got a major revamp, but it remains a fond favourite with Bowmore fans of a certain age.
