Aberfeldy 19 Year Old The Manager's Dram 1991 Release
Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Distillery Bottling 70cl / 61.3%
A 19-year-old Aberfeldy released in 1991 as part of the much sought-after Manager's Dram series. The Manager's Drams were a range of whiskies produced once or twice a year for United Distillers / Diageo staff and VIPs only, so these have always been tricky to get hold of.
This Aberfeldy 19-year-old was one of the earliest Manager's Drams, and was chosen after one of the exhaustive tasting sessions carried out within UD subsidiary Scottish Malt Distilleries - each of the distillery managers would bring their favourite cask sample to the tasting, where it would be tasted and rated by the rest of the managers to choose the winner.
This Aberfeldy is one of a string of early sherry cask Manager's Drams that have passed into legend as some of the finest cask strength official bottlings ever from their respective distilleries. A monster of a dram at 61.3%, this Aberfeldy is bursting with delicious sherry flavours.
