Released at the end of 2023, Wee Mongrel blended rum is one of maverick indie bottlers Little Brown Dog's fantastic non-whisky creations.

This special edition of Little Brown Dog's Wee Mongrel rum was initially created by blending 8-year-old to 15-year-old rums from Panama, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic, but this special edition has also had an eight month finishing period in casks that previously held maple syrup, which may well be a first for the industry.

Wee Mongrel Maple Syrup cask finish was created, according to LBD, "with the sole intention of creating a Christmas Monster", and is a limited edition of 609 bottles at a hearty strength of 50% and was bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The perfect Christmas dram for sweet-toothed spirits lovers.
