This 1995 Tormore 27-year-old came from a single first fill sherry butt cask 5384 that yielded a generous 584 bottles at a remarkable 59.1%, so you can be sure that it's going to be stuffed full of sherried Speyside goodness.

After years in the shadows, Tormore is enjoying a moment in the spotlight following the distillery's acquisition by Elixir Distillers - hopefully there'll be plenty more of this type of long-aged cask strength sherried Tormore coming to market in the near future.

Colour: Dark Gold.

Nose: Fragrant Vanilla pod gives way to rich sultana and subtle dark chocolate. Sevilla orange zest combines with clove and toasted oak.

Palate: Cinnamon and ginger spice complement dark forest fruits with a subtle hint of aniseed. Notes of baked apple lead to stewed raisins with a faint herbal influence. 

Finish: Full and long with lasting summer berries and citrus.
