A single cask Tomintoul 1995 23-year-old Speyside single malt whisky bottled in 2019 by Signatory Vintage without colouring or chill filtration for their Cask Strength Collection.

This 23-year-old Tomintoul 1995 matured in bourbon hogsheads for around 20 years before spending a period of 36 months finishing in a fresh sherry butt 16/1. Sherry butts are around twice the size of hogsheads, so the liquid from two hoggies will usually fill a butt - in this case, Cask 16/1 - which yielded a generous 708 bottles at a natural cask strength of 53.6%.  Tomintoul is a delicate, gentle whisky in its official guise - this one will be significantly less nuanced, and likely all the better for it.
