An old bottle of The Glover Batch Five 4-year-old small batch blended malt whisky bottled in 2020 without colouring or chill filtration by indie bottlers Adelphi.
The Glover is the name given to Adelphi's occasional batches of blended malt made with Japanese and Scottish single malt whiskies, and is named after pioneering Scottish businessman Thomas Blake Glover who had a lifelong connection to Japan.
This was the fifth Glover in the series and was a fusion of single malt whiskies from both Adelphi's Ardnamurchan distillery in the Highlands and Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery in Japan. Two first-fill bourbon casks from each of the distilleries have been expertly blended together to produce this amazing 4-year-old blended malt, a small batch edition of 1008 bottles at its natural cask strength of 54.7%.
