Big Smoke 50 is a heavily-peated blended malt whisky bottled at a hearty 50%, and is a recent addition to the Big Smoke series, which also includes the well-established Big Smoke 46 and Big Smoke 60.

Created using single malts from both Islay and elsewhere in Scotland, Big Smoke 50 is a great value smoky blended malt whisky, with robust peat and a pleasing balancing sweetness. A must for bargain-hunting peat fans.

Nose: Immediate blast of peat, full of salty seaweed and ocean smells, with buttery green fruits, apples, pears, candied citrus and smoky bacon.

Palate: Bright and salty initially, ashy peat, creamy mouthfeel, sweet vanilla and more barbequed Fruits.

Finish: Touch of vanilla and warming spice, more peat follows and a pleasing residual sweetness.
