Tamnavulin 2007-2021 | 14 Year Old Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 58.8%
A 14-year-old Tamnavulin 2007 bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for their Connoisseurs Choice Cask Strength series, this was matured in a refill bourbon barrel yielding 214 bottles at its hefty cask strength of 58.8%.
Tamnavulin is an underrated distillery, which is a shame but also a blessing for thrifty malt fans as it keeps the prices down. Tamnavulin is also more famous for sherry cask whisky, so it's great to see one from a refill bourbon cask that should allow the distillery's spirit character to shine. This 2007 Tamnavulin should be splendid whisky and looks a bargain.
