Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, the Starward distillery has used Australian malted barley and wheat in this double grain whisky for depth and flavour.
They have matured the spirit exclusively in Australian red wine casks, often filled fresh with new make when the cask is still wet to give a tremendous bold and fruity flavour.
The result is a whisky that is packed full of flavours such a vanilla spice and tropical fruits. We are looking forward to more releases from these guys, definitely worthy of their 2020 San Francisco Spirits Awards Gold Medal.
