SMWS Whisky Tasting 2025 - Old & Rare With Whisky-Online Auctions
Our Old & Rare whisky tastings are now back! First introduced in 2021, these themed events are a great opportunity to try a flight of carefully selected drams from yesteryear, and are introduced by independent hosts, so you know you're getting unbiased info.
Join the Whisky-Online Auctions team and our special guest star Lee 'Connas' Connor on Zoom on Friday 15th August 2025 for a runthrough of some quite superb old bottlings by The Scotch Malt Whisky Society! This event will include no fewer than eight rare SMWS single cask whiskies bottled at their occasionally epic cask strengths by the Society from top class distilleries including Glenfiddich, Ardbeg and Highland Park. Featured vintages go back as far as 1973, while only two of the whiskies were bottled this century, with the rest appearing in the 1980s and '90s.
This extraordinary flight of classic SMWS whiskies has been selected from Whisky-Online Auctions’ private stock especially for this unique series of virtual whisky tastings. Order Your Tasting Pack: If you haven't already, please order your tasting pack online. If you are overseas please allow enough time for your samples to arrive.

Shipping/Collection: Your tasting pack, containing seven 1.5cl samples, will be shipped to you the week commencing 4th August. Alternatively, you are welcome to collect it. You'll receive a separate email closer to the event date with the link for the Zoom tasting.

Join the Tasting: We will send you a Zoom link on the 13th August. On the date of the tasting, click on the Zoom link provided in the follow up email at 7.15pm (to allow time to resolve any technical issues). You'll be admitted to the tasting shortly after.
