Blended Scotch Whisky 75cl / 40%

An old decanter of Chivas Regal's Royal Salute 21-year-old blend, bottled in what is referred to rather grandly as a ruby flagon: a dark red ceramic decanter bottle made by famous British pottery manufacturer Wade.

This ruby flagon of Royal Salute 21-year-old dates from somewhere around the late 1980s or early 1990s so the whisky itself was likely distilled around the late 1960s or early 1970s. 

Royal Salute itself was introduced in 1953 to celebrate the Queen's Coronation and has been one of the best long-aged blends around ever since, no doubt largely thanks to the prominence of Strathisla in the recipe.
