The Christmas bottling from our fancy-trousered chums at Berry Bros & Rudd is a Royal Brackla 2007 that started life with 12 years of maturation in refill hogsheads before a generous two year finishing period in a Pedro Ximenez sherry butt, and is designed as the perfect post-prandial Christmas whisky.

Bottled at a festive 50.6%, only 539 bottles of this Christmas Edition Royal Brackla were yielded from the sherry cask, so if you want a Royal dram to watch the Queen with on Christmas Day you'll need to be quick.

Tasting Notes

Nose: The nose is a wonderfully spiced mix of fresh and dried fruits; apples, pears and melon from the distillate and sticky figs and dates from the wood.

Palate: The palate leans more towards the thick sherry wood influence with prunes, clove rock, toffee and honeycomb all swirling round.
