Blisteringly coastal and very complex with a nose that keeps of evolving at a snails pace. A dram you really can sit with for hours. All the classic Port Ellen characters are here in spades but the greater age really shows the beginning of some stellar new developments like more menthol and petrol notes than usual, less of those slightly 'dirty' aspects that Port Ellen can often display and a greater overall level of complexity and depth.
