A historic bottle of Octomore 2002 - this Octomore Futures I 2002 was released at 46% without colouring or chill filtration in 2008 as the first ever official bottling of the heavily-peated Octomore spirit style from Bruichladdich distillery.
Octomore 2002 Futures I was bottled in April 2008 from a batch of ex-Buffalo Trace bourbon casks distilled on 16th October 2002 using barley peated to 80.5 part per million (ppm) - a dramatic contrast to Bruichladdich's normal unpeated spirit, Octomore became the most heavily-peated Islay single malt whisky at a stroke.
