A bottle of the marvellous Oban 21-year-old Highland single malt whisky released at full cask strength as part of Diageo's annual Special Releases in 2013. 

This 21-year-old Oban Special Release was a small batch of 2860 bottles assembled from rejuvenated American oak and second fill ex-bodega sherry casks and weighs in a a particularly potent 58.5% natural cask strength.

Oban's small size and importance to the Classic Malts range means special edition official bottlings are few and far between, and excluding one-off single casks this 2013 small batch 21-year-old Oban remains the oldest general release official bottling from the distillery since the 32-year-old edition from 2002's Special Releases.
