Mortlach 21 Year Old Gordon & MacPhail 1990s
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled By: Gordon & MacPhail 70cl / 40%
A 21-year-old Mortlach Speyside single malt whisky released in the 1990s by independent whisky bottlers Gordon & MacPhail as part of the series of semi-official licensed bottlings now known as the Distillery Labels.
Mortlach is one of the distilleries that has most benefited from its symbiotic relationship with Gordon & MacPhail, with the Elgin behemoths releasing dozens of wonderful mature sherry-influenced Mortlachs in the decades towards the end of the 20th century. This example must have been distilled no later than the 1970s and should be a riot of sweet fruitcake, prunes, dates and barbecued meat.
