This Miyagikyo whisky is the entry-level single malt whisky from Nikka's Miyagikyo distillery in Japan (formerly known as Sendai). Bottled at 45%, Miyagikyo single malt shows a distinct sherry cask influence, with some nice ginger and cinnamon spice touches.

As Japanese distillers do not usually swap stock for each other's blends, each distillery generally makes a variety of different styles of spirit. Miyagikyo's house style, though, is a gentle, fruity, sweet single malt with the trademark luscious, silky texture so beloved by fans of Japanese single malt whisky.
