A little-seen bottling of Millburn distilled in 1983, just two years before the distillery closed its doors for the final time. Millburn is one of the rarest of the culled distilleries, a small Inverness distillery whose remaining spirit was blended away in the 1980s-1990s.

Bottled in 2004 by Forbes, Ross & Co for their Private Cellar label, this 1983 Millburn is a deeply unsexy old school Highland dram, with a minerally, waxy, meaty funk and touches of smoke overlaying cooked, honeyed citrus flavours. A lost style of whisky from a long-lost distillery.
