A single cask 1974 Millburn Highland single malt whisky bottled in 2015 by Gordon & MacPhail for their Rare Old series after ageing for more than 40 years. This Millburn 1974 was an edition of just 128 bottles, and was released at an ideal drinking strength of 46%.
Millburn was an old school Highland distillery that was rarely bottled in its lifetime and stocks may well be exhausted - at the time of writing in 2023 this is the only new bottling of Millburn listed on Whiskybase since 2009. Our old tasting notes say vanilla, strawberry and lime aromas, while the palate has jammy figs, orange and cinnamon flavours complemented by a touch of charred oak.
