Cognac 68cl 40%

An old 68cl bottle of Martell Medaillon VSOP cognac, and judging by the label and the long-necked paillarde bottle, this probably dates from around the mid to late 1980s.

These lovely old Medaillon series Martell VSOPs are great value and hold their rich Borderies-based flavours very well despite their age. The intervening years tend to make these naturally elegant cognacs even gentler in structure, so this should be an accessible, rich but easy-drinking Martell.
