Mannochmore 2012-2021 | 8 Year Old | Provenance Single Cask DL14660
Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Bottled by: Douglas Laing 70cl / 46%
We really hope that this recent trend of young casks coming to the indies from fine distilleries like Mannochmore, Linkwood, Inchgower and the like continues - there've been some great ones recently.
Mannochmore's Speyside single malt has always been technically excellent, generally grassy in flavour and firm in structure. It's a fair bet that there'll be plenty of that on display in this Douglas Laing Provenance bottling, a refill hogshead of Mannochmore 2012 bottled as an 8-year-old in 2021 at 46%.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Crisp, gristy and sugary with a big juicy barley hit as it warms, tailing with a citric quality.
Palate: That same barley is much more to the fore alongside vanilla with warming spices and late espresso.
Finish: Certainly sweet, with a heavily spiced autumn fruit style amongst that recurring barley.
