This 20-year-old Mannochmore 1997 came from a single ex-bourbon hogshead cask, yielding 276 bottles at its tantalising natural cask strength of 52.7%. A naturally lowish strength like this is usually a great sign that the whisky will be full of flavour, and with twenty years of ageing in an ex-bourbon cask this Mannochmore's taut, elegant Highland spirit will be singing beautifully.
